Tianjing Bicycle Factory will export(出口)800,000 “Flying Pigeon” bicycles this year. Of this year’s exports, 100,000 will go to the United States.
As one of the three main bicycle factories in China, the factory exported 550,000 bicycles to more than 50 countries and regions(地区) in 1987. Its output(产量) was 3.5 million in that year, being first in the country.
Beginning in this year the factory can take up export trade directly, with permission from the municipal (市政) government.
