It was Mother’s Day last Sunday. My uncle’s restaurant was very busy .It seemed that every family took their mothers out to eat that day to show thanks and loves to them.
At noon, my uncle called me from the restaurant. “Henry ,people are lining up outside, ”he said .”Can you come to help out?”
“Sure,” I stopped playing computer games at once and went to the restaurant with my brother George. All we had to do was bring food and water to the tables and take dirty dishes away when the customers finished eating.
The chefs(厨师) and their helpers were working very fast and hard. The kitchen manager was calling out orders. The kitchen helpers were running to get things in place. The chefs were working like magicians，turning meat and vegetables into delicious food in just minutes
I can’t remember how many times I bought things in and
out through that kitchen door. I just remember that at the end of the day, my legs were very sore（疼痛的） .When I got home ,I was very really tired. The next day ,when my classmates asked me how I had spent Mother’s Day, I answered. “ It is a long story. It felt like I walked all the way from Beijing to Shanghai.”
