With the rapid development of economy in many big cities in China, more and more people have their own cars, and also more and more problems arise. The traffic problem is really a problem, which can be found everywhere, especially in the developing countries. I think some effective measures should be taken to solve the problem.
Firstly, citizens should cut down the use of cars. At present, there are too many private cars and the streets are too crowded. Citizens should be encouraged to turn to public transportation like buses, metro, which will ease traffic jams.
Secondly, citizens should raise their awareness of environment protection. If they live not far from where they work, they can go to work on foot or by bicycle. Nowadays, more people prefer electric bikes to other means of transport, which benefits environment a lot.
Finally, the government should make a great effort to improve the public transport system to meet citizen’s demands. More electric buses are supposed to be introduced, for the electric buses are noticeably, lowering noise and air pollution.
