Today my classmates and I went on an outing. On the bus a foreigner stepped on the foot of a middle – aged woman because of a sudden stop of the bus. He said sorry again and again, but to my surprise, the woman called him names. Obviously, he knew what the woman meant, feeling embarrassed.

As we know, Qingdao is a co – host city of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, which is a great honor to all the citizens. We have beautiful beaches and clean water and blue sky, －everything for the events but the city still seems to lack something that can add to the honor. It would be a shame if such a thing happened during the Games. We should have good manners in building a harmonious society. I hereby call on all the citizens of Qingdao to show our hospitality, rather than rudeness, to our guests from all over the world.
