     How is it going? It has been three months since you came to China. I am sorry to hear that you aren't on good terms with your classmates. It is lack of social skills that accounts for the problem. Don’t worry! I can give you some advice on how to get on well with others in China.

        First of all, you are supposed to prepare some safe topics or openers for the small talk. Talking about your favorite stars or movies with others is a good bet. Do avoid serious topics or personal questions. Secondly, communication is a two-way process, involving speaking and listening. It is best to listen to others while they are talking, which makes the speakers feel important and respected.
