Dear Peter,

Thank you for your last letter telling me what you are doing to protect the environment.

Last Friday, we held a class meeting about how to protect the Earth. The Earth being the planet that supports our lives, we should pay great attention to our daily behaviors to protect it.

First, we should save water and electricity by turning off the tap and electric facilities as soon as we don’t use them. Second, we should take good care of the flowers ，grass and trees as well 。Third ，we should never litter。Last but not least ，we should avoid using plastic bags 。Instead ，we'd better use environmentally-friendly bags 。In a word ，only if we make a joint effort can we protect the earth and create a safe and green environment for us to live in 。
