I’m glad to hear from you. I know your parents want you be a student with artistic skills. Needlessly to say, a student with some artistic skills is more popular in school as well as in society. Having some artistic skills also help understand and master the general subject, such as math, English, and so on.
Therefore, interest is much more important. If you show no interest in it, you are more likely to learn it well. And it won’t help you much. Some day in the future, you will regret making such a choice.
In my opinion, you should follow my heart. You should do whichever you are doing well. If you learn your academic subjects well, you can still enter into a famous university. Art is not the only approach to succeed.
