Dear Sirs,

I am a student who is senior two in Xinhua High School. I am writing to apply for the 

opportunity of being a volunteer in our city’s First International Bicycle Marathon from July 18th to July 20th .

      Firstly, I am in favor of the idea that students take a very important role in the society. Then, as for me, I’m outgoing and willing to get along well withothers. What’s more, I am always helpful and warmhearted in my classmates’ eyes. And in my parents’ opinion, I am independent, that is, I have the ability to deal with some certain problems.  Finally, I am particularly good at spoken English and have a deep understanding of the cultures of our city and our country, which will greatly help me do the job.
